Popularity is the one filter that gives way. When your other filters leave too few films in the chosen range, the range widens, if necessary all the way to films with a single rating, and the result says so. Genres, decades, length, rating, language and cast and crew always hold.

Cast and crew

Search for up to five people. A pick can be any film one of them worked on, in any role: picking someone who both acts and directs brings in both kinds of film.

Ratings

The rating filter uses the average score TMDB users give a film, from 0 to 10. It isn't an IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes or Metacritic score, and those can differ by a point or more.

Movie data and images come from The Movie Database (TMDB). This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

Streaming availability comes from JustWatch, through TMDB. It covers the US and can lag a few days behind a service adding or removing a title.
